The Provincial Priory of North and East Yorkshire

At Selby Abbey on the 11th of November 2023 in Yorkshire the Province of North and East Yorkshire held their annual Provincial Priory meeting. This was preceded by the Family Provincial Church Service which on Armistice day was also a Service of remembrance.

E.Kt. Fraser Fowlie, P.Gt.Depty Marshall of the Cheshire and North Wales Province played the bagpipes and an Armed Services Bugler played the last post during the service of remembrance.

After a short break the Provincial Priory was opened in the Cathedral by R.E.Kt Timothy Grant Dixon and he greeted and welcomed many distinguished Guests including R.E.Kt. Timothy Wheeler G.C.T. Great Marshall and the delegation from Kent, Provincial Sub Prior E.Kt. Pieter Jan Swinge and E.Kt. Dennis Dean.

The Provincial Officers present were appointed and adorned with very beautiful Provincial Collars and jewels by the Provincial Prior. After the Provincial Priory meeting the Knights and their ladies retired to the Parsonage for a wonderful banquet attended by 154 knights and ladies.
