An Interesting Evening at Garden of England Lodge No. 6583

On the 5th of November 2025 the Heralds of Kent team attended the regular Mustering of the Garden of England Lodge No. 6583 at the Maidstone, Masonic Centre at Tovill in response to a request for a lecture.

Present were: E.Kt Peter Priedel of Temple Ewell and Black Prince Preceptories, Kt Brian Cooper of Lord Harris Preceptory, E.Kt Robyn Murdo-Smith of Lullingstone, Lord Harris and Black Prince Preceptories, E.Kt Alan Wilson Storey of St. Michael’s Preceptory and Black Prince Preceptory and E.Kt Rob Humphrey of Boxley Abbey Preceptory (which meets at Tovill).

The presentation consisted of an introduction by E.Kt Murdo-Smith, a demonstration of Sword Drill by E.Kt Priedel and a detailed lecture about Lord Harris a mammoth of a Mason by Kt. Brian Cooper. The assembled knights then took questions from the floor. We received much praise from the Master and members of Garden of Eden Lodge. It was a very enjoyable visit.
