The Kent Provincial Constables' MessThe Kent Provincial Constables’ Mess was organized by the Provincial 1st Constable E.Kt. Mark Woolcott with the assistants of E.Kt. Mark Wright, an honorary member of the Honorable Artillery Company, on the 19th of December 2025 at the HAC head Quarters in London.
The assembled Constables meet at 11:30am and were greeted by the Gate house by E.Kt. Mark Wright and escorted down to the underground garage where they were introduced to the impressive 25 pounder guns which salute the King on his birthday. The group was then led to the main building to visit the Museum, Treasury and Medal room where many Victoria Cross medals are displayed.
The Constables later assembled in the Sutling room bar and were rewarded with a welcomed drink by E.Kt. Mark Woolcott and E.Kt. Mark Wright presenting a plaque and bottle of wine to V.E.Kt. Noel Grout who has been honored with the title of the father of the Honorable Artillery Company being their oldest member. After this it was time for the Constables Mess and the Knights were shown their places in the magnificent long room and ordered their lunch. The Mess was concluded by taking port in the writing room lounge and E.Kt. Woolcott thanked everyone for a really enjoyable Constable Mess.
E.Kt. Mark Wright conducted everyone down to the Armoury to see the collections of muskets and pikes. E.Kt. Bob Tuthill was then dressed up as a Pikeman demonstrating the splendid polished armour of the Bodyguard of the Lord Mayor.
