Squiggle The Centenary Celebration of the Province of Northampton, Huntington and Bedford

The Centenary Celebration meeting of the Province of Northampton, Huntington and Bedford took place on on the 11th of April 2026 at the Northampton Masonic Centre, Sheaf Close.

The Provincial Prior, R.E.Kt. Stephen John Churchill, open the Chapter meeting and welcomed the Most Eminent and Supreme Grand Master Paul Raymond Clement G.C.T. into the Grand Temple to join the members of the Province in this mile stone of the creation of the Northampton, Huntington and Bedford Province, one hundred years ago, when there had only been three Preceptories. The Province had grown to fourteen Preceptories and 403 members.

An excellent lecture of the history of the Province was given by E.Kt. William Caswell detailing many historic events along the way. The business of the Province was then conducted including the Provincial Prior appointing his Provincial Officers and Bodyguard who then preformed a splendid silent drill which the Grand Master congratulated and thanked the Bodyguard Commanders and members for preforming.

A large number of Knights from Kent were there to enjoy the celebrations including E.Kt. Pieter Jan Swinge, V.E.Kt. Dennis Dean, E.Kt. David Cantlon, E.Kt. Kevin Johnson who played the organ for the Province and E.Kt. Mark Wright who was part of the Grand Masters Team as the Great Captain of Guards.

All the Knights then retire to an excellent refectory where each Knight was presented with a copy of the Northampton, Huntington and Bedford Centenary Booklet.
