Kent Provincial Officers Visit The Kent Bodyguard Preceptory No.552

A full team of Kent Provincial officers attended the Kent Bodyguard Preceptory No.552 to install V.E.Kt. Dennis Dean as the Provincial Sub Prior on the 9th of May 2026 at Gillingham Masonic Hall.

Kent Bodyguard Preceptory Members

Guests at the installation of the Sub Prior

There were over seventy members and guests there to see R.E. Kt. David Jordan K.C.T. and his Provincial officers paraded into the Preceptory through an impressive arch of steel by the Bodyguard and were welcomed by the Eminent Preceptor E.Kt. Andrew Waddington.

The Provincial Prior then opened a Chapter of Provincial Priory and replaced the Preceptory officers with Provincial officers. The Provincial Prior asked if the Provincial Sub Prior nominate was in attendance and received him through an arch of Steel.

The Provincial Prior proceeded to install V.E.Kt. Dennis Dean as Sub Prior in ancient form accepting his Homage and Fealty. The Provincial Prior decorated and clothed the Sub Prior with his Sub Prior regalia before inviting him to take his chair as Sub Prior. The Provincial Prior then appointed his Provincial Vice-chancellor E.Kt. Stephen Mark Littler and his Commander, Deputy and Registrar of his Bodyguard.

The Preceptory made a generous donation of £500 to the St. John of Jerusalem Eye hospital.
